01.Our Story
Renfield's Syndrome is the brain child of former Mechanism frontman, Ryan Renfield. A few months after the release of his solo, Self-titled EP, and a long quarantine due to covid, Ryan made the decision to form a band to perform the EP live.
Quickly responding to a post Ryan made on social media, Joseph Pepe (Damn The Flood) became the first real band member after impressing Ryan with his unique rhythm and lead abilities. Joe is also an amazing talent on vocals. Months passed while both guys searched for a rhythm section. A few short months later, Joe decided to ask bassist, Ian Speckmaier from his band, (Damn The Flood) to give it a go. It worked out nicely as Ian is also an extremely talented bassist and guitarist.
Roughly eight months after Ryan first set out to form the band he invisioned, and several drummer auditions, he recieved a call from his daughter's fiance, Dylan Bennett. At first Ryan was worried that something bad had happened. But, that wasn't the case at all. Dylan (Casualty of God - Unhailoed) is one of the most talented drummers in the PNW. He called to ask if he could audition for the band to which Ryan replied: "Dude, why don't you come out and audition us?". Rehearsals went from awesome to absolutely amazing!
Now the band is complete and Renfield's Syndrome has hit the ground running! Many great opportunities have already presented themselves to the band. Including an upcoming spot on KISW's Loud and Local, and Band of The Week on the B.J. and Migs Show!
